Brooks Garden

This garden was on a very steep climb, up to the back gates, which give on to a communal space. The whole area was excavated to allow for three terraced levels, all connected by a series of giant steps and a canal. The stucco piers were rebuilt slightly askew to echo the age and appearance of the neighbouring architecture and the materials within the garden were kept to a minimum so the planting could really sing out. The trees and shrubs were chosen to blend seamlessly with the planting in the communal space so the eye is taken beyond the boundaries of the client’s garden. For Dan Pearson Studio.
